A special prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

     This morning, I would like to take a moment to ask for a special need.  Lord, I met someone that has a friend who really needs You right now!  With her mom in the hospital and the diagnosis is not good.  Doctors say that there is not much time left for her.  Only You, God, know how much time is left.  And only You can intervene in this situation to bring about a different outcome than what is expected.  I ask that You would grant Your healing to this girl's mother.  I know that You would be great praised for doing so.  As You know, I had the chance to pray with the friend.  She knows where the healing would be coming from.  And she knows that You are watching and caring over the situation in the hospital right now.  I ask this for Your great Name's sake.  Never the less, not our will but thine be done.  Should You have other plans for this time, I pray that You permeate the hospital, and the lives of those effected by this, with Your grace and comfort.  You are the great Physician and mighty Healer, Lord God.  We put our hope and trust in You.

Jesus,

     I just want to start out by saying, thank You!  Thank You, Jesus, for being with me and watching over me to keep me safe from harm as I go about my day to day activities.  You're so good, gracious, an merciful to me.  And I know that I do not deserve one bit of it.  Yet, You are always faithful.  I love You, Lord!

     I ask that You still continue to be with my dear friend in the hospital.  And I ask for your healing throughout his body.  And for healing for another friend of mine, who I just met a few days ago.  She's faithful to You, Father God.  And we are trusting that You will bring about her health to good standing.  I ask that You bring about healing and restoration in a marriage of another friend who is so near to my heart.  He needs a miracle, Lord!  And, because of his commitment to You, he will not make a move without Your blessing upon it.  Yeah, we know he's made mistakes and fallen short in the past, but which one of us hasn't?  Lord, I pray that You also help him to overcome his past.  He needs to be able to put his record and his past behind him.  And I intercede for him to You.  I know that he's also talking with You about all this too.  I pray that You strengthen me and supply me with all I need to do what You have called me to do.  Lord, these are perilous times for many and, at the very least, trying times for others.  Our faith is being tested constantly.  I request from You, on behalf of myself and those on my heart, that You grant us an unfailing faith.  And I pray that the ones on my heart who do not yet know You as their Lord and Savior would heed Your call to repentance before it is too late for them.  Please grant them time to make the right decision.  Please lengthen their days and open their ears so that they may hear Your voice and have time to respond.

     You said that "Your burden is light", meaning that it is easy to come to You and be saved.  I believe You.  I know this through experience.  I don't want my loved ones to perish in darkness and I know that You, God, do not want that either.  Help them find The Way, The Truth, and The Life.  Lead them to Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, I love You.  Jesus, I love You.  Holy Spirt, I love You.

Dear Jesus,

     First of all, I'd like to thank You for all the wonderful people You have placed in my life!  Thank You for providing me with all I need.  You have truly been AMAZING to me!  Please draw me even closer to You than I am.

     Next, I'd like to lift up a friend of mine who has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning.  I ask that You make the appointment go well.  Grant the doctor insight to the issues and the root of the problem.  Let Your presence and peace be felt by all, especially my friend.

     Lord, You are my Lord, my God, my Friend, and my Guide.  All I can really say is, Bless the Lord o my soul!  I pray that You will continue to guide me in the paths of righteousness fr Your great name's sake.  I trust in faith that You will bring healing to those in need.  And I ask that You call those, both the near and the dear to me, to Your salvation and Your service.  I know that You have already made that call to many of them.  My only request, in reply, is that You would call again and speak louder.  I just want, so much, for people to know You even as I know You!

Our Father who is in heaven,

     Tonight I'm coming to You to ask that You bring a great movement, a quickening of our faith.  There are so many people in this world who need to hear from You.  So many who need to see You intervene in their lives and situations.  As You well know, Lord, there are too many people who claim to be religious and even people who claim to follow You and they neglect Your word, they neglect Your salvation, and to give You the honor, praise and worship due You.  I pray that You will quicken our faith in You, Jesus.  I pray that we would put You first in everything we do.  And consider You as we make decisions, both big and small.  I pray that You would spur our hearts to return to Your church.  And that You will open our hearts to receive Your teaching.  Lord, I pray that those of us who call upon Your name, including myself, would realize that we are saints and should conduct ourselves accordingly.  I know that we, who call upon Your name, aren't bound by "rules" and "religion" but we are free to live!  Free to live for You not trying to keep the Law in our own power anymore.  If You will just remind us of who we are, and what You have done for us out of Your own love and mercy toward us You have shown us grace and forgiveness, we would want to live righteously before You.  Please remind us all of You.  I love You, Jesus.

Dear Jesus,

Tonight I would like to know what You would like me to do.  I'm trying to do what I can when I see the opportunity.  But I ask that You would help me to see more opportunities and enable me to do more for You.  And help me be more patient with those around me that are very trying to my patience.  Even as I shop, dine, drive, or do whatever, please help me not only be more patient in those "hurried" situations, but help me to see and respond to the needs of those around me.  I want to be more effective for You and Your Kingdom.  And I know that I've missed many opportunities in my life and I've missed many more that I didn't even know about.  I don't want to miss another opportunity to share Your love with both the world and even Your children that need encouragement or a helping hand.  I pray that You open my eyes to the needs around me.

Dear God

I need to see You move in my life today.  I want more of You in my life.  And I don't want to be hung-up in "religion".  I just want to be used by You in such a way that people around me can see Your great love and that they would realize that You are the only way to heaven.  I want people to see their need to have You in their lives.  And not to be just a little part of their lives but the very center of their being!  Lord, I do not care about whether I, myself, am noticed or not.  I just want everyone to come to You!  I have some dear loved ones on my heart.  They need to see You soon, even now!  Before it is too late to make the right decision.  You know who they are.  And You know where they are and what they are doing.  It hurts me deeply to know how they have turned their backs on You.  And I know it hurts You too.  Please be merciful to them, as You have been to me.  Show them Your love and grace that is able to overcome even the hardest of hearts.  Set them on Your paths of righteousness.  Even for Your Name's sake.  When they see me, I ask that they would see You through me.  And turn from their ways and come to You.  I ask for You to make me to be a clean and worthy vessel.  Even a clean mirror to reflect Your love to those around me.  Please hear my heart's cry and incline Your ear to my prayer.

My Prayer for you today 1/1/2012

Dear heavenly Father,

     Tonight I bring my prayer before You as an intercessory prayer.  I have friends who are struggling with life.  Some are fed up with the trials of life while others are struggling to stay alive.  I have people on my heart now who need You to intervene desperately!  I need You to intervene desperately, Lord!  I have a friend who is having problems with her children.  It seems as though no matter how hard or how much she prays, that things only get worse.  I ask You, Jesus, to give her strength to persevere to these times.  I ask that You would open the eyes of these children to see just what it is that they're doing.  I pray that You would remove the blinders from there eyes, hearts, and minds so that they will see that their actions cut much deeper than they realize.  Their behaviors not only cause stress in the home, but they hurt people, people who care about and for them.  And the hurt doesn't stop there because it also hurts You.  I pray that You soften the hearts of these children and teach them why what they've done is wrong.  And more importantly, teach them how to do what is right.
     I also have upon my heart, a dear friend in the hospital.  He's battling cancer and even battling the aftermath of surgery.  He needs Your divine healing!  I thank You, God that You have brought him through this far.  And I trust that You will bring him the rest of the way.  Please grant Your healing mercies to him.  Also grant Your peaceful presence to those of his family and friends who are most greatly impacted by this trial.  Help them through this time as well.  Please grant them the strength and time to go about their daily duties while spending time in hospital visits too.
     Thank You, God for being so good to us.  Thank You for Your provision.  Thank You for Your grace, mercy, kindness, and forgiveness.  Thank You for being You!
