Praying for Wesley's Family

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight as we have learned the tragic news of Wesley's ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, we ask that You would grant peace and comfort to his family and friends.  Help them through this time of grieving.  Help them find peace in their loss.  And help them to still feel and experience the joy of this Christmas season.  Help Hannah, Lars, Linda, and Amber find comfort in the rememberance of Wesley.  Help them to remember the good times; the joys of years gone by; and give them strength to hold on to the blessed hope You've given us all that we may, one day, meet each other again in glory with You, Lord.
     We love You, Jesus!  Thank You!

A Prayer for Chad

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight we ask for Your blessed healing touch for our frind and brother, Chad, after his car accident.  Please guide the doctors and nurses, who You've entrusted to care for him, as they treat and operate on our dear brother.
     Grant Your peace to Chad and his family as he is going through this.  Give them the reassurance of knowing that You are still in control.
     We love You, Lord Jesus!  Thank You for watching over Chad and that this accident wasn't worse than it is.

Praying for Kelly's Son

Dear Jesus,

     Tonight, we want to bring Kelly and her son before You.  We ask that You pour out Your healing upon Kelly's son and bring comfort and peace to Kelly and her family.  Please give Your healing touch to Kelly's son.  Fill the hole in his heart.  Raise him up to proclaim Your greatness, Lord Jesus!  Heal him so that he may live a life pleasing to You, ever making proclamation of the victory that he has in You.
     We also ask that You would use this time of uncertainty to draw Kelly into a close relationship with You. We don't know whether she knows You as Lord and Savior yet, or what her relationship to You is like.  But we ask that You manifest Your love to her.  And let her know that You are there with her and You do care. Please help her to know You better, God.  We love You!

Dear heavenly Father,

     We also lift Ashlynn up to You in our prayers.  She is young but has been through more trials and struggles than most of us could imagine.  Never feeling any sense of stability in her life, or knowing security.  We ask that You would manifest Yourself to her in a very real way.  Show her what Your love is and that You do love her.  Show her that Your love for her is true love; unconditional love; and You love her for who she is now.  Help her to know that You will always be here for her.

Dear Jesus,

     Tonight we ask that You would comfort Amanda.  We ask that You touch her ankle and heal her.  Strengthen her ankles against any other injuries.  And help her to bring Your Great Name glory and honor even in her soccer games, Lord.  As she is resting and recovering, we ask that You would train and prepare her mentally to face the challenges of life.  And in all things, whether sick, injured, or healthy, help her life to point to You.
     We thank You, Lord, for being with us.  We thank You even for the "sprained ankles" of our lives.  They only serve to show us our weaknesses so that we may exercise and discipline ourselves in those areas.  Help Amanda, and all of us, to learn what You are teaching us through our struggles.

A Prayer For Travis' Grandmother, Billy Brooks

Dear heavenly Father,

     Thank You for Billy Brooks, and for her grandson Travis.  Thank You for Billy's life and the legacy that she's lived to this point.  But right now, we gather together in prayerful agreement to ask for Your blessed peace and healing touch on Billy.  As You know, she's been in the hospital after her heart attack.  And we ask You to help her through this.  Even to bring her through this!  You are the source of our strength.  And the Giver of Hope, Lord.  We beseech You now to bring healing to Travis' grandmother.  Let her continue to bring forth the praises of Your Name here on earth.  It is our prayer that You display Your great healing mercies through her.  For this, among many other reasons, we do thank You.  And praise You.

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight we thank You and praise You for who You are.  You are our Great Physician.  You are our Lord.  And You call us, who know You as Saviour, friends.
     We also have a special request.  Our friend has heart problems.  And tonight, we're asking for Your healing touch.  The healing touch from our Great Physician!  Our prayer is not one of selfish desire.  But that through her healing, You would be magnified to her, and those around her.  We ask that You show Yourself, through her, to the surrounding world.  We pray that You would heal her so that she will be healthy and made whoee in order to speak of the marvelous things You have done.
     We love You, Lord, our God!  And we thank You!

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight, we thank You for being with us.  And we thank You for being our ever-present help in the time of need.  We also thank You for our brother Larry.  And we ask that You would heal him of this sickness so that he may give You more glory for his recovery.  As he suggested, this may be the start of the flu.  But we pray that, whatever ailment this is the start of, this will also be the end of it.  You have taught us to come to You, Father God, for everything - big and small.  And we're coming to You now, Lord.  This healing would be a big thing to us.  Yet we know, it is but a small thing for You.  Whether sick or well, we know that Larry will continue to give You praise.  And we know that You will be with him and bring him through this.  For this, and many other reasons, we all give You praise!  We love You, Lord God!  Thank You for the great privilege You have given us to commune with You the way we do.

Praying for Dave's Headache to be Healed

Dear heavenly Father,

     We gather together to thank You for this day.  And we thank You for our brother Dave.  We ask, Lord Jesus, that You would heal Dave.  Ease his headache and heal whatever may be causing it.  We turn to You, Lord, for our healing because You alone are the Great Physician.  And You alone are the source of our help.    We pray that You will help him use this healing for Your great glory, Jesus.  And until Your healing comes, use this ailment for Your glory also.  But grant to him the grace to endure this discomfort, Lord.

That You would strengthen her faith.  And encourage her in her pursuit of You and Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Dear Lord Jesus,

     We prayerfully lift my friend up before You as we ask You to heal her of this cancer.  She is scheduled to start treatments for this next week.  We are asking You to heal her before these treatments start.  But if You decide to use these treatments to show forth Your glory and grace, we ask that You would help my friend endure these treatments.  Give her the grace to go on and keep moving forward into all that You have in store for her.  Even use this time and these experiences to draw her into a closer relationship with Yourself, Lord God.  We pray that You would make her battle with cancer short.  And help her to come through this battle victoriously, Lord Jesus!  Give her, and all of her friends and family members, another reason to sing "Victory in Jesus"!

Praying for those affected by the shooting in Colorado

Dear heavenly Father,

     At this time, we pray that You will comfort those who were there in the theater when the shooting took place.  And we ask You to comfort those who lost loved ones that night.  We pray that You will help the injured heal both physically and emotionally.  And we pray that You will help us to gather what we can from this situation, so that perhaps, there may not be a repeat of it.
     We do not wish that freedoms be taken away, laws be made stricter, or security screening be put in place.  Because none of that is not the problem, nor will any of it solve the problem.  The problem is the condition of the heart within mankind.  This act was evil.  The shooter's heart was evil.  But this evil was not just contained in one incident.  It had been building in the shooter's heart for a long time.  We're not sure, what exactly, triggered this man to do what he did.  And I'm not really sure that it matters much now anyway.    
     Whatever the motive, help the victims heal from this, and help us all to learn what we can from this situation.  Lord, help us all to open our eyes to see those around us who would like some, help, or even just some company.  Open our ears to hear, to REALLY hear, people as they talk to and with us.  And open our hearts, Lord, so that once we see or hear of a need we will do what we can to meet those needs.  Not just to find out the need just to "wish then the best" and go on about our day.  But that we would be moved enough to do whatever we could right then and there, heavenly Father.  Lord, help us know how to bear-up under one another's burdens.  Help us to share OUR burdens with others too!  It is so very prideful to try to deal with everything we face, on our own, all the time.  Help us to humble ourselves and ask for help when we could use the help.  Help us all to reach out to those around us, no matter how heavy our burdens are or how many problems of our own we are dealing with, and help them.  Teach us, Father God, to share.  To share burdens, to share trials, to share struggles, as well as sharing the blessings and rewards.  Help us to run this race well, Lord.
     We thank You for helping us through this life.  We thank You for being there for us all the time, even when we feel that we have no where else to turn.  We thank You for putting people in our lives who help us through life's journey and for those who You put in our lives who we are able to help.  We also thank You for the lessons You teach us when we go through hard times.  We even thank You for allowing us to stay in those hard times until we have learned what You were trying to teach us.  And we thank You for the unconditional love with which You love us.  We love You God.  Thank You.

Dear heavenly Father,

     We lift up Joey Votto before You now to ask that You heal his knee quickly.  We pray that You would help his recovery from the surgery to be quick and painless so that he will be able to return to the game he loves, and the fans who loves him.

Dear Lord Jesus,

     First of all, we thank You for getting Liza and her friends to and from their tournament safely.  We thank You for protecting them on their journey and bringing them back to us.  But we also lift Liza up to You in our prayers, asking that You would soothe her aches and pains due to all the changes in altitudes and air pressures.  Help her to relax and unwind from her trip.  Help her to press through any jet-lag she may be dealing with.  And help her body readjust to being back on the ground again.
     Thank Lord Jesus for allowing us the great privilege to come to You in this manner.  And thank You for always taking care of us.  We love You, Jesus!  We are so grateful to be able to call You, Friend!

Praying for those affected by the storms in Florida and the fires in Colorado

Dear Jesus,

     We lift up before You now those affected by, and in the paths of, the tropical storms in Florida and the wild fires in Colorado.  We ask that You would be with all the victims, their families, and friends in a special way.  To watch over them, protect them, and bless them.  Grant them the peace that comes only from having a saving faith and relationship with You.  Help them rebuild their homes and lives.  And help no one be left in despair.  Bring Your people, Your children, around those that are grieving their losses.  Inspire their hearts to reach out, sharing Your great love, to the hurting and broken hearted.  Soften the hearts of those who need help to receive a helping hand from those who try to help.  Let them also receive Your love that You extend through Your people.
     We thank You and love You, Lord Jesus!  It is in Your mighty Name that we pray and ask these things.

Dear Father in Heaven,

     Father God, we know that You are our the Great Physician and Mighty Healer.  Tonight we lift Nathanael before You as he's in the hospital with a very high fever.  We ask that You would cool his fever and touch his body to heal him.  We pray that You will cleanse his body of whatever is ailing him.  And that You would grant the doctors and nurses, to whose care You've entrusted him, wisdom and sharpness of mind to see, treat, and remedy this fever and the cause of this symptom.  We pray that You would protect Nathanael from any harm that may possibly come from sustaining a high fever for a long time.  And that You will give Nathanael and his family peace, comfort, and rest tonight as they remember that You are in control.  We thank You Father God for Your sovereignty over every thing and every situation!  We praise You for all that You are and all that You do!  You're truly amazing God!  Our souls will continually sing Your praise for Your endless worth!  We love You!  Blessed be Your Name, Lord God!

     We come before You at this time bearing up this friend, her brother, and her whole family.  We rarely, if ever, understand losses such as this friend's  family is experiencing right now.  We ask that You grant to them Your peace and comfort as they struggle through this loss.  We pray that You help this family seek Your will for them in this.  We pray that they would turn to You for comfort and answers.  And that they will trust You with all of their hurt, pain, and confusion.

A Prayer for Ravon

Dear heavenly Father God,

     We gather together in prayer for Ravon's family at this time.  Ravon lost his dad recently as you know.  And because he didn't have insurance when he died, Ravon and his family are having trouble raising the money to cover the funeral expenses.  We ask that You will meet this need for them.  We pray that You lift this burden off their shoulders.  This season in life can be so devastating to people, Lord.  And they need Your help, God.  We pray that You will help them heal from the loss of Ravon's dad, and that You will turn their hearts toward You as they seek peace and comfort through this tragedy.  We trust that You will meet this financial need of theirs so that they may bury their dad with the respect and dignity due him.  Above all, Lord Jesus, we ask that You will grant Your peace and comfort to the hearts of the grieving.  Help console them during this time and let them not turn to destructive substances or behaviors for comfort.  We thank You, Jesus for allowing us the privilege of coming to You, and speaking with You in this way.  And we love You, oh Lord our God.

Dear Lord Jesus,

     We come before You bearing up Melissa's grandpa in our prayers.  We ask that You would heal him of this pneaumonia and clear his lungs of any and all infection.  We pray You will clear and soothe his airways and restore his health to him.  We ask You to lead the doctors, nurses, and nurse aides in the nursing home to give him only the best of care and treatment.  Thank You Lord for being our healer, our comfort, and our shelter in the storms of life.  We love You, Jesus!

Lord, I'm sorry

Dear heavenly Father,

     I just wan to take a few minutes here to tell You that I'm sorry for ever doubting You.  I'm sorry that, as I've prayed in the past and didn't receive the answers that I'd hoped for, that I had any doubts at all whether You were hearing me.  I'm sorry for ever thinking that I knew what was best for me.  Please forgive me, Father God.

     As You have continued to reveal parts of Yor plan to me, I'm in awe of Your wonderous goodness, grace, and mercy!  And You, not only are being so good to me, but You are not holding my past ignorance against me.  Thank You!  The more I know You, the more I want to know You, Lord.  And the more of Your will and plan You choose to reveal to me, the more excited I get for what is to come!  And I can't help but say, "Wow God!  I guess You REALLY know what You're doing after all!  I'm sorry I ever doubted."

     Thank You, Lord Jesus, for tolerating me in my ignorance.  And thank You for understanding my doubts and confusion when my faith is at its weakest.  I love You God!  I love You!

A Prayer for Ronnie

Dear heavenly Father,

     We thank You for allowing us to come to You will our every concern, both big and small.  And we now lift up Ronnie to you, asking that You pour out Your healing mercies upon him as he lay in the hospital.  We ask that You would calm the synopsis of his brain and soothe his nervous system.  Whatever else may be causing the seizures that he is having, we pray that You heal that condition.  We also know that sometimes You choose to use doctors and nurses to heal the sick.  And we pray that You, our Great Physician, would lead them all in their testing and procedures.  Guide them to a swift and correct diagnosis.  Teach their hands the skill necessary to carry out whatever they need to do.  Sharpen their minds to think quickly and clearly.  And return Ronnie back to his friends and family being safe and healthy.
     We also pray that You would be with Ronnie's family and friends as he is going through all of this.  Help them to have a peace and comfort that comes from knowing You are in control.  We ask that You would motivate his children and grandchildren to step up and do whatever is necessary to be there for his wife, to help her in every way that she needs them.  Even place it upon the hearts of their neighbors to help out with whatever needs to be done.
     We love You God!  You have been, and still are, so good to us!  Thank You!

                Tonight we prayerfully lift up Brooke’s parents to You.  We pray that You protect them on their trip and in all their travels.  We ask that You make their trip prosperous, yet give them time to relax and enjoy this time, even though it is a business trip.  We ask that You bless them in all they do.  And give them Your peace, comfort, and joy at all times wherever they may go.  We thank You, God, for all You do in our lives. And we thank You for the opportunities that You give us to talk to You, and even intercede for others even as Your Son, Jesus, intercedes for us!  We love You so much, Lord God!  Thank You!

A Prayer for Restoration

Dear heavenly Father,

     Tonight we lift up a dear friend of mine, his wife, and his family.  We thank You and praise You for what You have done in their lives so far.  And we give You glory for what You are doing right now.  Thank You, Lord.  We also pray that You continue to work in this situation.  We ask for Your protection over all those involved.  And we ask that You guide them into the proper choices to bring You even more honor and glory!  We pray that You will open the eyes of those who are blind so that they will see the way out that You, Almighty God, have provided!  And open the ears of those who do not yet know Your voice so that they may hear Your voice telling them, "Come this way" or "Go that way".  We know this person feels trapped, helpless, and confused.  We ask that You free them from the snare that the enemy has laid; help them, encourage them, and strengthen them to be free; and enlighten them through Your Holy Spirit to know the truth.  Set their minds at ease and give them peace and rest on every side, Lord God.  We ask that You continue to restore this relationship and family.  Place a hedge of protection round about them.  And let this family rebuild the broken relationships.  Help them, even now, turn to You so that You may restore to them the years that have been devoured.
     Thank You for allowing us the privilege to come to You in such a way as this, Lord!  We love You!

Praying for Don's wife Nancy

Dear Lord Jesus,

     We lift Don's wife, Nancy, up before You in our prayers at this time.  We ask that You pour out Your healing mercies upon her as she is in the hospital.  We ask that You heal her from whatever is ailing her.  We also ask that You lead the doctors and nurses entrusted with her care in every decision they make.  Lead them to the proper diagnosis and treatment.  We know that You often use doctors and nurses to bring healing to people, and we pray that You give Nancy great care through them.  We ask that You give Your peace and comfort to Nancy, Don, and all their family and friends.  We love You, Lord.  And we thank You for the privilege we have to speak with You as we do.  Thank You!

Dear heavenly Father God,

     We thank You for being with us and promising us that You will never leave.  And right now we lift our friend Crystal before You in our prayers.  We ask that You keep her sheltered from harm and evil.  We pray that You draw her close to Your side as she seeks to know You more.  We ask that You help her to read and understand Your Word.  We ask that You speak to her in a special way as she prays.  Lord, please strengthen her in her faith.  Help her to stand strong for You.  And give her the peace, joy, comfort, love, and hope that only comes from knowing You as Lord  and Savior.  Thank You Lord God!  We love You so much!

Dear Jesus,

     We come before You now to thank You for everything that You are doing in my good friend's family and marriage.  And we thank You for turning their hearts back toward each other.  We thank You that my good friend has kept the faith and is trusting You with everything he has!  As You know, Jesus, there is still much progress to be made.  We ask that You encourage and strengthen my friend to stay faithful to You, and to keep pressing forward in prayer!  We ask that You break the bonds and strongholds that are keeping these two apart.  We ask that You continue to protect them and shelter them from harm and all evil.  We ask that You show them both the way that You have already made for them to be completely reconciled to each other and to You, Lord!

Dear Jesus,

     We come before You lifting Amanda up in our prayers.  We ask that You grant her peace during this trying time in her life.  We thank You for what You have done, and what You are still doing, in her life.  And we pray that You will help her always remember that You are always in control.  Help her to remember to love as You love us.  And help her to forgive without reservation.  We thank You, Lord for everything!  Even for being our EVERYTHING!  And we love You, Lord Jesus!

A Prayer for Greg

Dear heavenly Father,

     We also lift Greg up to You.  We ask that You would sooth the nerves in his mouth and clean out the infection that is irritating those nerves.  And we ask that You heal the tooth that has let this infection set in.  Please continue to bless him in his work and daily activities.  Protect and bless him and his family.  We know that Greg is a faithful and faith-filled man.  And we ask that You would just overwhelm him with Your great love!  Bless him beyond what his imagination can fathom!  Bless him even more than where his childhood dreams would dare to take him!  Remind him, his family, and the rest of the world around him, of just how mighty the God we serve IS!  We pray that You grant him peace, joy, comfort, and rest from all of his troubles.

Dear Jesus,

     We come before You now as we lift up Michelle's dad in prayer.  We ask that You grant Your healing mercies to Michelle's dad.  We ask that You comfort him as You heal his knee.  We pray that You strengthen his knee so that he may walk easily without pain and can serve to glorify You, oh Lord!  We ask that You touch him and touch his knee.  Let Your mighty presence be known and felt!  And restore Michelle's dad to complete health so that he will painlessly walk for You!  Thank You, Lord Jesus!  We love You!

Praying for Jr

Dear heavenly Father God,

     We come to You now, lifting up Jr before You in prayer.  We pray that if Jr doesn't know You as his personal Lord and Savior yet, that You would help him make that decision to turn to You now.  We also pray that You will overcome the hatred in his life with Your great love and grace.  Let Jr know Your grace and mercy toward him and feel the great love that You have for him.  Help him forgive others that have hurt him, Lord.  Help him to know and experience the freedom that You give us through forgiving others.  And illuminate the path of his life with Your Word.  Help him to read Your Word in the Bible.  Help him learn to pray.  And help him find a good church to attend, one that will teach Your Word with truth and integrity, a church that will show him more of Your love!  We ask that You would bring some good Christian people around him to be his friends, and to show him what true friends are.  And remind him that, in You Lord God, he has a friend that sticks closer than a brother.  We love You, God!  Thank You!

Dear Jesus,

     I just want to take a moment here just to thank You for all the wonderful things You are doing in my life and the lives of those around me!  I want to thank You for everything You've given me, and for everyone You've placed in my life!  There still are things that I don't quite know how You're going to work them out.  But placing my complete trust in You, and You alone, has been - and still is - the Greatest Adventure that I have ever been on!  Thank You for my friends!  They all have been such an encouragement and help to me!  Thank You for my family!  Thank You for keeping them all healthy and safe.  Thank You for my job.  And for all of the opportunities I have to share Your love to the world!  You truly ARE an AWESOME GOD!!!  Thank You for calling me Your own!  Thank You for being my Lord and my closest Friend!  I love You, Jesus!

A Prayer for Shamira Clark's healing

Dear heavenly Father,

     Tonight we praise You!  And we thank You for all You have done and are doing in Shamira's life!  We are praying that You completely heal Shamira Clark of the cancer that has plagued her body.  We are placing our hope and trust in You, Lord God, to totally cleanse her of all sickness and disease, and to restore her to complete health.
     We also ask that You would bless her family.  Keep them safe from all harm and evil.  Lead them.  Guide them.  Direct their steps.  And keep them close to Your side.  We love You, God!  We thank You and praise You, Lord!  In Jesus Christ's precious and Holy Name we pray.

A Prayer for Anna

Dear heavenly Father,

     We thank You this morning for Anna.  And we ask that You let Your mighty presence be known in the hospital as Anna undergoes her tests.  We are asking and believing You for a total healing, Lord Jesus.  But, as my friend and brother, Don, said - "We are praying for good results or at least good answers."  We all agree with Don in this plea.  We pray that the right tests are run in the right way, and that the doctors correctly decipher the information they receive so that they may make a quick yet correct diagnosis.  We also ask that You grant Your peace to Anna's parents and family as she undergoes these tests.  It must give someone a feeling of helplessness when all they can do is to stand by watching and waiting for the doctors to say something.  Lord, we love You.  And we trust You.  You are our hope and help.  We thank You for comforting us during this times.  We love You, Jesus.

Praying for Phillip

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight we prayerfully lift our brother Phillip to You.  He was just recently diagnosed with cancer today.  And tomorrow, he's going in for a PET scan.  We ask that You perform a miracle of healing for Phillip.  We don't know how much it has spread, if it's spread at all.  And we just ask that You completely remove this cancer from his body.  Wherever it may be hiding, we pray that You remove every last cancerous cell.  We pray for good results to this PET scan tomorrow, and for every test that will be done.  We know that however You choose to work in this situation, it will be the right choice.  And we will love You and praise You whatever the outcome.
     We also ask that You give peace and comfort to Phillip and his family as he is undergoing these tests.  We ask that You give him the assurance, peace of heart and mind, comfort, and rest that only comes from having a personal relationship with You.  Thank You, Jesus.

Praying for Merideth's father, Mike

Dear heavenly Father,

     We lift Merideth's father, Mike, up before You now.  He just found out that he has lung cancer.  And we ask that You, our Healer and Great Physician, pour out Your healing mercies on Mike.  We ask that You bestow Your peace an comfort on him, his family, and friends.  We ask for Your mighty healing touch on Mike's body.  We pray that You irradicate this cancer from his lungs and anywhere else it may have spread, or may hve been hiding.  We ask for Your peace, wisdom, and understanding for all who are effected by this diagnosis.  And we ask that You strengthen them as they battle through this disease to victory together!

     We thank You, Father God for comforting us in these perilous times.  And we love You!

Praying for a good friend

Dear Lord Jesus,

                Tonight we lift up a good friend’s family to You.  This family we’re praying for is suffering through the loss of their dad and they are also trying to straighten out the estate that he left behind.  We ask that You guide them through this time of grieving and give them peace over every decision they are faced with, both over estate issues and otherwise.  We pray that You grant Your peace and comfort to this family as they heal from this loss.  Comfort them with the knowledge that everything will be made right and every tear You will wipe away one glorious day in Heaven.  Help them smile with every remembrance they have of their dad.  And let them rejoice over all the good times they had together.  We ask that You not only help this family draw closer through this loss, but that the members of this family would be drawn closer to You.  Those that already know You as Lord and Savior would deepen their relationship with You.  And those that may not yet know You in this way would turn to You and call upon You for what may even be the first time.

                We love You, Lord!  Thank You for carrying us through these hard times.

Dear Lord Jesus,

     This morning we prayerfully lift Alexis Tackett before You.  We ask for Your healing mercies to be poured out over her.  And that You would eradicate this cancer from her body.  We ask that You would let Alexis know Your great love for her.  And we pray that anybody and everybody that does not yet know You as Lord and Savior would receive that call from You now.  We ask that You grant peace to Alexis, her family, and friends.  We ask that You give Alexis strength to face this battle and to come through this into Your victory!
     Lord, we thank You for hearing us.  And we thank You for being with us.  Thank You for Your faithfulness to us and showing us what true love is!  We love You Jesus.

Dear heavenly Father,

     This morning we come to You asking that You will overwhelmingly pour out Your love and let You Holy presence be felt at the Alpha retreat today.  And we ask that that You touch the lives of everybody involved with this function and touch so many more through those who attend.  We pray that if anybody doesn't know You as Lord of their life and they don't know Your Son, Jesus, as Savior - that You would help them make that decision today.
     We thank You, Lord, for the opportunities that You have given us to serve You and to serve others in Your Name.  And we thank You that You have chosen to use us!  We are always humbled by that.  Thank You, Lord God!  We love You!

A prayer for Mariah

Dear Jesus,

     Tonight we lift Mariah and her family before You in prayer.  We ask that You impart Your peace to this family.  We know that You are God.  And You still perform miracles.  We ask for a miracle here, in Mariah's battle with Batten's Disease.  We ask that You cleanse Mariah's body, mind, and soul of all sickness and disease.  We ask that You miraculously heal Mariah so that both those who may be skeptical of You and those who's faith may be wavering right now will know of Your goodness and grace!
     We ask all this for Your glory and honor, Lord God.  It is still our prayer that not our will, but thine be done.

Dear Lord,

     Tonight we join together in prayer for our nation and our nation's leaders.  We ask that You help whomever is elected to public office remember who it is that they are working for, and the duties of the office they hold.  We ask that You help them perform the duties of their office with honesty, integrity, and humility.  We ask that You protect them from harm.  And that You guide them through their every decision.  Please give us a leader who does and will put You first in everything they do - and every decision they make.  Help them make a firm stand for what is right - right morals, right values, and right judgments.  Encourage them in their position as they stand for what is right.  And correct them when they are wrong.  Please help this country and nation return to the faith-based, family-oriented values that it once held!  We love You Lord Jesus!  As always, our hope is in You.

     We just come before You at this time to thank You for our dear friend and sister Liza.  We thank You for the heart that she has to serve You and to serve others in Your Name.  Today, she was not feeling well when she woke up.  And we ask that You pour out Your healing mercies on her, Lord.  We ask in faith that You restore her health and well-being to her.  Lord, we not only ask this so that she can feel better for herself, but so that she can resume the work that You have called her to do.

A prayer for tonight

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight I just want to thank You for all the wonderful people who You have placed in my life!  I love them all!  Thank You for each and every one of them!  Thank You, Lord, for everything that You're doing, have done, and even the things I do not yet know about!  Your mercy, grace, and love truly amazes me!  I want to thank You for all the victories You have given me.  And I also want to thank You for all the struggles You have brought me through.  And thank You for Your Word.  Thank You for hope.  Thank You for Your presence - both now and in our times of need.
     Tonight, I would like to ask that You watch over and protect my friends and family, and their friends and families too.  I ask that You comfort those who are broken hearted; let Your presence be felt by those who are lonely; bring peace to the afflicted; and give rest to the weary-hearted.
     I ask that You would teach us Your ways again, Lord God.  Help us learn, or even re-learn, what it means to follow You.  Give us a sensitivity to the needs - both physical and emotional - of those around us.  Help us to meet those needs as You have blessed us to do so.

Praying for our friend Kristen

Dear heavenly Father God,

     We thank You for all the many mercies You show us from day to day.  And we thank You that Your mercies are new every morning.  And on this morning of a new day, our dear friend and sister Kristen needs to experience some of these new mercies - healing mercies, Lord!  We ask that You heal her of this ovarian cyst that is causing her such pain that it is interfering with her life!  Lord, we ask that You work a great miracle through her healing.  She still wants to be able to have children to raise them up to be men and women who bring honor and glory to You, Father God!  She needs Your grace and mercy to be illustrated, even manifested into a great miracle!  We ask that You cleanse her body of any and all iniquity, uncleanness, illness, or infirmity that may be causing this cyst, and causing this pain.  We know that, upon her healing, she will give You all the praise and glory for it!  And she is even praising and glorifying Your great name now, through the pain, and through the struggles with uncertainty.  Heal her, Lord.  Make her certain of Your miraculous healing power!  Make her certain of Your goodness and grace!  Remove all doubts, from the minds of those who know her, of Your power to heal and Your goodness towards those who place their hope and trust in You.  We love You, Lord God.

Praying for Melissa's back

Dear Jesus,

     Lord, tonight we ask that You touch Melissa's back.  We ask You to heal her pain.  She has been nearly crippled by this back pain for the past week.  And she has much to accomplish in the coming days.  We ask that You would pour out Your healing mercies on her, Lord Jesus.  We ask that You heal her of all her infirmities.  Jesus, You alone, are the great Physician!  You, alone, are our great Healer!  And it is to You alone that we turn for help and healing.  Please heal our friend Melissa.  She is not only our friend but our sister, a daughter of our Father in Heaven.  We put our trust in You alone, Jesus.  We love You.  And we thank You for being with us and hearing us in our time of need.  We thank You for hearing us and being with us when everything is going well and we praise!  And we thank You for showing us grace as You lead us through the hard times we face.

Praying for Christy's grandson

Dear heavenly Father God,

      Tonight we would also ask that You grant Your peace and comfort to Christy's grandson.  Let him feel Your protective presence.  Let him know that You will let no harm come to him.  We pray that You are in control of all things and that he may sleep peacefully knowing that You are with him.  Bless him with Your comforting touch, Lord Jesus.  Pour out Your Holy Spirit on him.  Give this child of Yours victory over the terrifying demons that trouble him in sleep!  And let him realize that You have given him victory over them!  Let him know that You are keeping watch over him Yourself!  And that absolutely NO BODY and NOTHING can or will harm him this, or any, night when he places his trust in You!  We love You, Lord.  And we thank You for being with us and comforting us.  You are our father, God!  And You are everywhere, even under our beds keeping the very presence of evil at bay.  Thank You!

Trusting and resting on the promises of God

Dear Jesus,

     We thank You for the promises that You have given us who call upon Your name through You word.  We thank You for the instruction and even the correction we receive through Your word and the Holy Spirit also.
      Right now, as we prepare ourselves to lay down for the night, there are many of us who desperately need a reminder of the hope we have in You, Lord.  You know the situations and the individuals that are on our hearts as we pray this prayer to You.  You have taught us through Your word that if we trust You, we will have a peace that passes understanding.  You have taught us that if we place our trust in You,  we will find rest.  And when we hold on to You, sticking close to Your side, You will lead and carry us through the troubles we face.  We are trusting You with our lives, Jesus.  We are pouring our hearts out before You.  We have no where else to go!  There's no one else that can offer hope like You!  Jesus, where else could we go, for You alone have the Words of life!  You are the truth!  You are the life.  And You are the way.  We are trusting You, Lord.  We are counting on You to carry us through!  We are resting on Your words and promises.  We need to see You move in our situations soon!  With each passing moment our faith is being tested.  With each passing moment we feel that we are being worn down.  We ask You to strengthen our resolve and encourage us in our walk.  Please give us an unfailing faith.  As You prayed for Simon, that his faith fail not, we ask You to grant us that unfailing faith!  Help us feel Your peace through these storms of life. Help us find rest in You as we lay upon our beds.  Calm our fears and anxieties, Lord Jesus.  We love You, Lord Jesus.  We love You.

Prayer for enlightenment

Dear heavenly Father God,

     This morning we come before You to ask that You strengthen and encourage us to keep pressing forward into Your will and according to Your will.  We ask that You help us to avoid the temptations to say and do evil, yet give us strength to resist those temptations when they are unavoidable.  We ask that You enlighten those around us to see Your life at work in our lives, Lord Jesus.  And we ask that You would let those in whom we come in contact would see the change in our lives.  Let them see the hope that we have.  Reveal Yourself to them even through us!  In our human efforts, it is very hard, if not impossible, to change.  And those that do not know You, Father God, do not understand how quickly we are changed when we trust You.  We ask that  You show them the change, even the beginning of change.  Let the lies and deceit fall from their eyes even as if it were a colored, or oddly curved, lens that's been filtering and distorting the truth.  Help those around us finally see the truth for what it actually is before it is too late.  Help us, Lord, to know Your love and to share that love with the whole world, especially with those who make it so very difficult to be around let alone love.

Thank You for hope!

Dear heavenly Father,

     Tonight, we thank You for all the great things that You have done in our lives.  And we thank You for the work that You are doing in and through us and those that are close to us.  Thank You for the blessed hope that we, that trust in Your great name, have for our future!  We praise You and give You all the honor and glory for it!
     We also ask that You continue to work in the lives that You have changed.  We ask that, along with the redemption of lives, that You restore the relationships that have been damaged.  Bring restoration to their families.  Call the family back together, Jesus.  You have been officially invited and welcomed into the heart of at least the head of the household.  And You've officially been given free reign to do as You please in this household.  We know that You are working with the absent family member.  We ask for Your peace and Your patience as You work in this situation.  We ask for Your guidance and encouragement to stay strong in the faith as we come to know You better.  We desire to know You more.  And we seek to develop our relationship with You even more.  Thank You, Jesus for all that You have done and continue to do!  We ask that You restore this family so that not just one member - but the family as a whole will give You praise!
     We love You, God!

Dear Lord Jesus,

     We thank You for this day.  And we thank You for the blessed hope and reassurance You give us.

     This morning, Lord, we ask that You grant Your peace and comfort to Madi and her family as she undergoes this EEG test.  We ask that this test would only serve to confirm that You have protected her from serious harm.

A prayer for a good friend

Dear heavenly Father,

     We thank You for Your faithfulness to us.  And we thank You for Your love!  While we have been unfaithful to You, You still sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us.  We stand in awe of Your love, grace, and great mercy!
     Tonight, we ask for Your divine intervention in a good friend's life.  He needs You, Lord!  His life is being shattered as we cry out to You.  He is hoping and praying for the first time in years!  And we are hoping and praying with him, Lord God!  You know his situation Jesus.  And You know what needs to be done.  And we know that You are the only One who can save this relationship.  Lord, we know that it is not Your will that any covenant relationship or family be tore apart.  And tonight, those are the stakes.  This is what we are praying for.  We ask that You intervene in a way that only You can to heal these broken hearts, save these lives, bring hope back to this relationship and family, Lord God!  Restore this covenant relationship to a level which it has never been before!  We ask that as You rebuild this broken family, you cut away the garbage that has worked its way into this marriage.  We ask that You break the ties between those of this marriage and those that seek to destroy it.  Lord, what makes this request even more urgent than ever, is that there are children involved!  We know that You already know that, God.  But this is just the cry of our hearts, Jesus!  According to Your own words, "let no one split apart what God has joined together".  You are the only One who can heal and restore this home.  Please help my friend!  Please help his family!  Bring healing and restoration to his home, Lord Jesus.
     We thank You for hearing our cries and being there to wipe our tears.  We thank You for loving us just the way we are.  And we thank You for Your patience with us as we fumble through this life until we learn that You, alone ARE the Way!  Thank You, Lord.

Let's all pray for Elijah

Dear Lord Jesus,

    We come before You now to thank You for being who You are!   We thank You for You're sovereignty over any and every situation.  We thank You that You are God, and that there are no gods before, beside, or above You.  You have everything within Your control.
     This morning we ask thank You let Your healing mercies flow to and through Elijah.  Calm the synopsis of his brain.  Give peace to his nervous system.  And grant Elijah rest from these seizures that have been plaguing his mind and body.  And give peaceful reassurance to his parents.
     We pray that You display Your might and power over this situation through even this situation.  And we pray that through this, You let Your redeeming - saving power be known!

Praying for Amber

Dear Father God,

     We thank You for Your faithfulness to those who put their trust and hope in You.  We thank You for hearing the many prayers that are poured out  from our hearts.  And we thank You for being our ever-present help in our times of need.
     This morning we that You grant Your comfort and peace to Amber as she is having a procedure done to remove kidney stones.  We ask that You guide the doctors and nurses that will be working with her.  We ask that You have taught and do teach their hands the skill required to carry out this procedure successfully.  And we ask that You bring peace, comfort, and reassurance to Amber and her friends and family.
     Thank You for providing for us our daily needs.  Thank You for listening to are doubts, fears, and concerns.  And thank You for understanding our feelings.  Lord, please help us remember to show You our gratitude for Your provision.  We all know that You are more than just a source for help in our time of need.  You are the Almighty God of the universe!  All powerful!  All knowing!  And perfect in every way!  For this we give You praise!  For You alone are worthy of our praise!  As You provide for our needs, heal us, and even bless us - remind us to be about Your business.  Remind us to give You praise and thanksgiving.  And remind us that it IS You that carries us through our lives, into the good times and through the bad.  We praise You Holy Name, God!  Thank You!

A prayer for our brother Lee

Dear Father God,

     We lift our prayers to You for our friend and brother Lee.  We ask that You bring him safely through this surgery.  We know that You are in control of all things.  And we thank You for carrying us through the trials of life.  We thank You, Lord for giving us the peace, joy, and blessed assurance that we are in Your care; and we do not need to be anxious for anything.  All we need to do is trust You.

     Thank You for being present with us through this life.

Praying for our brother Jim

Dear heavenly Father,

     We thank You for the great honor and privilege that we have to come before You with are requests and concerns.  And we thank You for comforting us through these uncertain times, God.  We also thank You for all that you have done and continue to do in our brother Jim's life and situation.
     As You know Lord, Jim still has a ways to go in his recovery.  He has had some rough times.  And he's still having some complications.  We ask You tonight to comfort our dear brother.  Heal his stomach.  We ask that You give him victory over this long battle that he's going through, Lord!  Let him return home to his wife, family, friends, and his church.  This time has been a real struggle for Jim.  But it has also taken a toll on his wife, family, and close friends.  They miss him at home.  And we all miss him at church.  Lord, we just pray that You give Jim a victorious end to this battle with cancer, and the aftermath that has been recovery.  Heal him.  And let him come back home to us so that he may once again speak of your faithfulness, greatness, and majesty!
     We love You, Lord God!

A prayer for Melissa's grandpa

Dear Jesus,

     Thank You for allowing us the honor to approach You in prayer, and to live in Your presence.  And thank You for hearing and answering our prayers.  And letting us know that our heart-felt prayers are not spoken in vain.
     Tonight, we approach Your great throne, asking that You heal Melissa's grandpa.  We don't know what is ailing him at the moment.  But we do know that he's in the hospital and he needs Your help.  We ask that You let Your healing flow through that hospital room like a river!  We pray that You sharpen the minds of the doctors and nurses that are caring for him.  We ask that You give them the knowledge and understanding of his ailments to properly diagnose and treat this issue.  And we thank You for being in control!  We thank You that You are our anchor in the storms of life, and the anchor holds!
     We love You, Lord!

A prayer for Madi

Dear Jesus,

     This morning we lift Madi and her family before You.  We ask that You touch and heal Madi from her fall in the shower.  We ask that You let Your love and mercy be manifest throughout that hospital by demonstrating Your healing power.

     We also ask that You grant Your peace to Madi's parents during this time.  Remind them that You are in control and that You are with them.

     We thank You, Lord for the priviledge of being able to come to You in this way.  We thank You for Your healing mercies.  And we thank You for Your authority, even over and through these emergency situations.

     We love You, God.

A prayer for the nation

Dear Lord God,

     This morning we would like to thank You for placing us here, in this country, where freedom still is the prevailing theme that ties us all together.  And we'd like to thank You for placing me here for such a time as this.
     Lord God, You said through Your prophets that if Your people, whom are called by Your name, shall humble themselves and pray; that You will hear from Heaven and heal our land.  We are praying to You now, oh Lord.  We need Your healing upon this land now more than ever!  Our government officials are so corrupt, we can no longer cast our vote for "the good candidate", but we have to vote for who we feel is "the lesser of the two evils".  God, helps us!
     Lord, according to Your Word, it seems that we are living in the last days, and people don't seem to care.  We know Your warning to us.  Yet there are still many so-called "Christians" who, rather than being makers of peace, they desire to spread hate and contempt toward those who oppose their views.  Jesus, You told us that "blessed are the peacemakers".  Many people, not just Christians, are familiar with that saying.  Yet, there are many people filling the seats of Your churches nation-wide who almost seem to enjoy spreading hate.  We must not be ignorant, but be made aware of the issues at hand.  But as You know, there's a great difference between making people aware and hate speech.
     Not only that, but too many of us prefer to speak ill of our leadership than to pray for it!  Lord, this is not good!  Lord, forgive us.  God, please help us!
     Teach us as a people, and a nation, what it means to be a peace maker.  Teach us what mercy and grace are.  Lord, teach us and compel us to do more for our nation and its leadership than to just complain about how it's being run.  Teach us, Lord, what unity can and will do.  Teach us HOW to unite, Lord God!  I think that is one of are biggest problems as Your people.  We focus on our own divisions rather than how we may bridge, or repair, the gaps that divide.  Teach us to be peace makers,  rather than peace takers, once again.
     We need You Lord.

A Prayer Request for Lee

Dear heavenly Father God,

     We thank You this morning for Lee and his family.  We thank You for the calling that You have place on his life.  And we thank You for all that You are doing with him and through him.
     Lord, we ask that You watch over and take care of our brother and friend Lee as he goes through surgery this afternoon.  We ask that You sharpen the minds and steady the hands of all the staff of doctors and nurses that You will be entrusting with Lee's care.
     We thank You Lord for all the great things that You have done.  And we thank You for all that You are doing.  And even through these hard times, we thank You that You are still loving us, caring for us, and teaching us.  We love You God.  Thank You.

A prayer for Mackenzie

Dear Jesus,

     This morning we want to thank You for all that You have provided and done for us.  And we also want to lift up our sister and friend Mackenzie to You.  She is in need of Your healing touch today.  It seems as though she is coming down with a cold that she just can't shake on her own.  And it just maybe that You are using this cold to remind her, and us, that we need You.  And we can do nothing, even as simple as shaking off a cold, apart from You.  Lord, You know Mackenzie's heart.  And although I don't know her that well, I believe I know her heart too.  And she wants to give You glory, honor, and praise with everything she is and does.  And this morning we would like to join together as believers in prayer to ask that You bring Your healing to her body.  We ask that You let Your healing mercies be known to her, and to those around her through even the eradication of this cold from her body.  She wants to give You one hundred percent, Lord.  With this cold, her one hundred percent isn't what it could be.  Help her Lord.  And then her all will be all it should be.
We thank You and love You, Lord Jesus!

Dear heavenly Father God

     We humbly stand before You tonight to lift up the Brown family in prayer.  Although, their need is known only to You and them, we ask that You give them peace in this time of their life.  We know that You do, and will, provide all of our needs according to Your riches in glory.  We ask that You make manifest Your provision in their lives.  Lord God, we know that Your plans are higher than our plans, and Your timing is so much better than ours.  But our dear friends are desperate for Your peace, healing, mercy, and grace right now!
     We love You, Father God.  Thank You for the privilege we have to commune with You in this way.  You are truly awesome!  Thank You.

Praying for Melissa

Dear Lord Jesus,

     Tonight we would like to thank You for all of the goodness, loving kindness, grace, and mercy that You've shown us.  And we thank You for Melissa.
     We lift Melissa before You tonight to ask You for Your healing touch, Lord.  As You already know, she has been fighting a chest cold.  This cold has manifested into a persistent cough and is troubling her.  We ask You Lord Jesus to touch her bronchial airways, and to sooth her sore throat.
     We know that this is a small thing for You.  But we know that You want to hear our every longing, desire, and trouble.  We know that You really just want to hear our voice, Lord.  And tonight we lift Melissa up to You with our voices, trusting You for her healing.
     Thank You, Lord God, for hearing us.

Lord, I just want to thank You!

Dear Jesus,

     I just want to thank You for everything You've done for me, especially today.  You are so good to me!  You graciously do good to me when I am not deserving of it.  And You often mercifully withhold Your chastening even when I am deserving of it.  Your loving faithfulness to those who know You as Lord and Savior of their lives in mind blowing!  I stagger in awe, wonder, and amazement as I contemplate all You have done and all You promise to do!  I just want to thank You, Lord God.  You are so good to me.  And I just want to give You praise for all You do.  I love you Jesus.

Lifting up Lee

Dear heavenly Father,

     We thank You for our brother Lee.  And we thank You for everything that You're doing with and through him.  And we come before You tonight to lift Lee up and ask that You heal him.  As You already know, he's having a medical procedure done tomorrow.  And we ask that You let Your Holy presence be felt in that place tomorrow.  We ask that You remind Lee of Your faithfulness to Your children.  And You set his heart and mind at ease.  We also ask that You be with the doctors and nurses to whom You have entrusted to care over him.  Let their eyes be open to see what they are doing.  And make their minds sharp to make wise decisions.  Lord, we trust You because You're the only One who can be trusted.  And we are trusting You with our beloved brother Lee.  Please take care of him.
     We thank You and give You praise, oh God!  You are our great Healer.  Beside You there is no other!

Lifting up the Brown family

Dear Jesus,

     We come before you tonight to lift up the Brown family.  It seems as though, like many other families right now, they're battling illness.  We ask that you heal their bodies and drive out any viruses and bacteria that may be causing their ill feelings.  We pray that the sicknesses are driven out of their family, and away from their friends.

     We ask this of You so that they may be well enough to do the work You have set before them with less resistence.  Even though they also glorify You in sickness, many more people around them would praise You in their health! 

     We love You Lord God!  And we thank You for all You hve done, are doing, and will do in our lives.

Dear Lord Jesus, I need strength!

     God, I first of all want to thank you for everything You've done for me.  Thank You for bringing me through this far.  Thank You for entrusting me with all that I have and even the hope You've given me for the future.

     And with all thankfulness, I ask that You strengthen and continue to guide me through this life.  I need to feel Your presence even more now than ever!  I need to feel Your peace and joy even in a new and deeper way.  Help me to tune back in to Your voice, oh God.  Let me hear Your beautiful voice clearly.  And let me feel Your calming and healing embrace like I never have before.  Lord God, You are my God!  You are my Rock!  My shelter and my fortress through the storms of this life.  You are my Saviour.  And my friend, Lord Jesus.  My hope is in You.

     Help me through this time, Lord God.  You know my trials.  You know my struggles.  And You know my heart, oh Lord.  Lift me up and steady my feet.  You have done many great things for me, Lord.  But now I'm tired.  Strengthen me, Lord.  So that I may continue to follow You down this road You down which You lead me.  Let me not stumble to one side or the other, but hold me up with Your Holy Spirit and shelter me in the palm of Your mighty hand.

     I know that You are with me, Lord God.  And by Your grace I will carry on.  By Your great mercy, I will press forwadd!  And because of Your great love, I will continue in love.

     I love You, my Lord.  Thank You for hearing me and staying with me.

Lifting Laura up

Lord God,

     Thank You for everything that You have provided to us.  And thank You for the promise You have given to us, who love You, to provide all our needs according to Your riches in glory.  And thank You for Laura.
     We prayerfully lift Laura up before You tonight to ask that You give her the peace that surpasses all human understanding and wisdom.  At times, this life is chaotic for us.  There are so many times that we neither understand what is going on, nor do we understand why.  It is during those times that we are taught to patiently endure.  We ask you to help Laura, and even us, to patiently endure these chaotic times.  We ask that You surround Laura with Your great love and people who You also!  People that are ready and willing to be a friend to Laura.  To be there in the tough times.  Strengthen and encourage her to keep running this race of life without looking back!  You've taught us that those who have put their hands to Your work and turned back are not worthy of You.  Help Laura know that those that have turned their backs on her are not worthy of her friendship, but give her the compassion, understanding, and forgiveness to reconcile those relationships that can be reconciled.
    Thank You for Your faithfulness!  We love You!

Dear heavenly Father,

     We thank You for Michelle.  We thank You for the heart she has for people.  And we ask that You grant her the strength to endure, and the courage to persevere through the trials that she's facing.  Protect her from any evil attacks, Lord.  Let Your peaceful presence be not only know, but felt by her and those around her.  Strengthen her with Your Holy Spirit.  Let Your love continue to shine through her.  Permeate her life with Your love, grace,  mercy, and compassion.  Thank You, Lord God, for using Michelle to grow Your Kingdom and share Your love.  And thank You for the blessed hope You have given us and continue to remind us of as we journey through this adventure we find ourselves in.  We love You, God.

Our prayer for Michelle's aunt, Amber

Dear Lord Jesus,

     We are truly thankful that You are with us and You have not left us helpless in this world.  And we are thankful that You, not only, are with us through this life, but You know what's coming.  And whether we realize it or not, You make us ready to face the challenges that await us.  You give us the measure of faith we need to face each day.  And Your mercies are new each morning.
     Tonight, we lift up Michelle's aunt, Amber and her two children to You.  We ask that You heal Amber of MS, this disease that's plaguing her body, and attacking the vital organs of it.  This disease, as You know, can be devastating.  But we know that You, our God, are greater than this disease!  We thank you for the progress that she's already made in the hospital.  And we ask that You move throughout that hospital room, teaching knowledge and wisdom to those who have been entrusted with her care.  And we ask that You heal Amber of this.
     And as we pray for Amber, we also ask that You comfort her two children, Lord.  This is a trying time for them as well.  Comfort them.  Give them the peace and understanding that can only come from You.  Help them to know, first hand even, how truly awesome You are!  Let them know Your Comfort.  And bless them with Your marvelous peace.
     Thank You again, Lord Jesus.  We love You.

Dear Jesus,

We lift Michelle before You tonight, just as the those four men tore a hole in the roof of the house at Capernaum so that they could bring their friend to You, we bring Michelle before You tonight.  We ask for Your healing touch over this cough that has been troubling her.  We ask that You soothe her airways and comfort her.  Give her the peace and rest that she needs tonight, so that her body can keep up with her spirit as she faces the challenges of the day.
Thank You, Lord God for hearing us.  And thank You for healing us.

Dear heavenly Father,

     We ask that You touch Peggy and heal her back.  Please cleanse her body from all infirmities and remove her pain.   We ask that as You heal her body, that You strengthen her back and calm the nerves that are causing her distress.

Dear heavenly Father,

    I ask for Your protection over Charlotte.  Watch her and keep her from harm and all evil, even the temptations that she may face.  I pray that You look after and protect her and her family, both, while at home and away.  Lord, bless her with an unfailing faith in You, oh Lord.  Help her find opportunities to honor and glorify You, Jesus, in all she does.  Even help her share the news of Your great salvation with others she meets in all her journeys and endeavors.
     Lastly, but certainly not least, I ask that You make her journey prosperous.  And bring her back to her friends and family safely.  Thank You, God, for being with us and keeping us in Your protection.

Jesus,

     We have another friend who's sister, Missy, is in the hospital right now.  We ask that You teach the doctors wisdom and understanding to know what is causing this pain.  Heal this pain, Lord.  Let Your healing mercies be proclaimed throughout the halls of the hospital!  Lord, glorify Yourself through our healing as we magnify Your Great Name!
     The enemy is attacking Your children, Father God.  We pray that You grant us peace and rest, if even just for a season.  We will praise Your Name, Jesus, no matter what we go through, or how long we must endure these trials.  You are worthy and Your Name is greatly to be praised!

Dear Heavenly Father,

     I ask tonight that You let Your presence be known and even felt in thee Emergency Room where Kim is with her daughter.  I ask that You would heal her daughter of the pains she has.  Ease the pain, Lord.  Heal Kim's daughter, even in such a way that credit for the healing could only be given to You.
     We thank You, Lord Jesus for being our great Physician.

Lord, You are the Lord of the miraculous, and we need a miracle

Dear Jesus,

     Our friend Keith is in need of Your miraculous provision this evening.  With the passing of a couple of many family members in recent months, they are in need of a financial breakthrough! You are our Provider, oh Lord our God!  The stress that the loss of a loved one causes is already so immense.  The financial burden alone is more than many of us can bear.  But now we bring this burden before You, our Lord and our God, to ask that You would send a breakthrough-miracle of provision toward this family.  We know that just meeting this financial need is not going to fix everything, but meeting this need will help the family and friends start down the path of recovery from their loss.
     Lord, we thank You for Your daily provision and presence.  We thank You for never giving us more than we can bear, although we may still feel overwhelmed at times.  Thank You for being are friend and our God.

Dear Jesus,

     We come before You tonight to ask that You bring Your healing mercies to Michelle.  She is not feeling too bad right now, and for this we thank You!  We just pray that her knee doesn't develop any problems as a result of her fall today, and that nothing else was injured.
     We are just so blessed to be able to talk to You whenever we want or need to!  Thank You for allowing us to have a personal relationship with You, oh Lord!  We love You!

Dear Lord Jesus,

     I lift Lyric before You.  She needs Your healing touch so that she can enjoy time in Your presence this weekend.  Lord, I ask that You bring Your healing to her quickly, so that all who know her know that You ARE the Source of her healing!  And all of this will cause people who see and hear of Your blessed provision to glorify Your great Name.

Dear heavenly Father,

     I lift up Kristen before You at this time.  She needs Your merciful healing touch.  The pain she feels can be crippling.  Please impart wholeness to her body.  Give comfort and healing to her body.  You know her needs, Lord Jesus.  And she needs You to intervene in her situation.  And that intervention, in more ways than just healing her pain!  We know that Satan has targeted her because of her faith in You.  But, even as You allowed Satan to try Job's faith for a time and then You said, "Enough", we ask that You would tell him that it is enough now.
     Thank You for carrying us through these hard times, Lord.  Thank You for suffering with us the way You do. Thank You for not leaving us helpless.  And for Your faithfulness toward us.

Dear Jesus,

     I also would like to lift my friend, Tabatha, up before you.  She also needs Your healing touch.  Her neck, back, and shoulder has been bothering her lately.  I ask that You would touch these areas, soothe her muscles and relieve the tension on her nerves that are causing such pain and discomfort.  I know that this is a small thing for You.  But I also know that You are magnified through the prayers of the saints, Your children.
     We can do nothing without You, Lord.  We wouldn't want to do anything without You, even if we could, now.  You have won us over with Your great love toward us!
     We thank You, Jesus, for  Your healing mercies.

A prayer for brother Jim

Dear Jesus,
     We approach  Your great throne today, oh Lord, with boldness and confidence, that You will hear our prayers and meet our needs.  Lord, we have a friend, neighbor, and brother, who is also one of Your children, in the hospital right now recovering from surgery.  Jesus, however You choose to heal our brother Jim, all it will take is Your will to do so.  You can can heal him by touching him and cleansing his infirmities.  You can heal him by giving the doctors and nurses that are caring for him extra knowledge, wisdom, and skill to aid in his recovery. And You can even just say the word to heal Jim.  Or any number of other ways to would choose.  Lord, as Your children and ambassadors of Your kingdom of heaven, You have told us that anything we would ask of You according to Your will, in faith, You will provide.  Lord God, You are Jehovah-Jire!  You are our Provider!  And as Your children and ambassadors, we speak the words of healing.  We proclaim Your healing power over Jim!  We, even right now, speak Your healing into Jim's situation.  "Jim Hoskins, be healed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ!  Get up off of the hospital's bed and walk."
     Lord, we thank You for Your promises that You have given to us.  And even that You have recorded Your promises in the Bible so that we can continually be reminded of Your love and greatness toward us.

A special prayer

Dear heavenly Father,

     This morning, I would like to take a moment to ask for a special need.  Lord, I met someone that has a friend who really needs You right now!  With her mom in the hospital and the diagnosis is not good.  Doctors say that there is not much time left for her.  Only You, God, know how much time is left.  And only You can intervene in this situation to bring about a different outcome than what is expected.  I ask that You would grant Your healing to this girl's mother.  I know that You would be great praised for doing so.  As You know, I had the chance to pray with the friend.  She knows where the healing would be coming from.  And she knows that You are watching and caring over the situation in the hospital right now.  I ask this for Your great Name's sake.  Never the less, not our will but thine be done.  Should You have other plans for this time, I pray that You permeate the hospital, and the lives of those effected by this, with Your grace and comfort.  You are the great Physician and mighty Healer, Lord God.  We put our hope and trust in You.

     I just want to start out by saying, thank You!  Thank You, Jesus, for being with me and watching over me to keep me safe from harm as I go about my day to day activities.  You're so good, gracious, an merciful to me.  And I know that I do not deserve one bit of it.  Yet, You are always faithful.  I love You, Lord!

     I ask that You still continue to be with my dear friend in the hospital.  And I ask for your healing throughout his body.  And for healing for another friend of mine, who I just met a few days ago.  She's faithful to You, Father God.  And we are trusting that You will bring about her health to good standing.  I ask that You bring about healing and restoration in a marriage of another friend who is so near to my heart.  He needs a miracle, Lord!  And, because of his commitment to You, he will not make a move without Your blessing upon it.  Yeah, we know he's made mistakes and fallen short in the past, but which one of us hasn't?  Lord, I pray that You also help him to overcome his past.  He needs to be able to put his record and his past behind him.  And I intercede for him to You.  I know that he's also talking with You about all this too.  I pray that You strengthen me and supply me with all I need to do what You have called me to do.  Lord, these are perilous times for many and, at the very least, trying times for others.  Our faith is being tested constantly.  I request from You, on behalf of myself and those on my heart, that You grant us an unfailing faith.  And I pray that the ones on my heart who do not yet know You as their Lord and Savior would heed Your call to repentance before it is too late for them.  Please grant them time to make the right decision.  Please lengthen their days and open their ears so that they may hear Your voice and have time to respond.

     You said that "Your burden is light", meaning that it is easy to come to You and be saved.  I believe You.  I know this through experience.  I don't want my loved ones to perish in darkness and I know that You, God, do not want that either.  Help them find The Way, The Truth, and The Life.  Lead them to Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, I love You.  Jesus, I love You.  Holy Spirt, I love You.
